I obtained my diving certification in 1997 through the Portuguese Navy. From 1997 to 2005, I exclusively engaged in commercial diving, undertaking numerous projects in Portugal and Spain. Between 2000 and 2002, I served as a volunteer firefighter, training public safety diving teams and leading several rescue diving operations.
In 2005, I relocated to Brazil, where I resided until April 2023. From 2006 to 2010, I managed three other dive centers in Northeast Brazil (Fortaleza, Porto de Galinhas, and Maceió). I became a PADI instructor in 2008 and in 2011, I established my own dive center named Let’s Dive in Maceió, Northeast Brazil. From 2018 to 2022 (the date I ceased operations), Let’s Dive held the distinction of being the sole PADI CDC (Career Development Center) in Brazil.
Since the inception of Let’s Dive, I have focused on professional training, technical diving, and business development consultancy tailored to the diving industry. In 2021, I attained the title of PADI Course Director in the Dominican Republic. With over 1,000 students trained and more than 15,500 dives completed, I currently reside in Roatán, Honduras, where I manage the Island Diving Center since September 2023.
