Lord Highway Safety Analytics
Lord Highway Safety Analytics is a company created by Dr. Dominique Lord, an internationally known researcher working in highway safety and crash data analytics.
Dominique has more than 30 years of experience conducting fundamental and applied research, and is a full professor and holder of the A.P. and Florence Wiley Faculty Fellowship in the Zachry Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University. He has over 165 papers published in peer-reviewed journals, and is the primary author of the textbook “Highway Safety Analytics and Modeling,” which is currently being revised for the 2nd edition.
Dominique Lord is a licensed professional engineer in Quebec and Ontario, Canada. He works and lives in Texas, USA.
Short Biography
Dr. Dominique Lord, President of Lord Highway Safety Analytics, LLC, is a Professor and holder of the A.P. and Florence Wiley Faculty Fellowship in the Zachry Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M University. Over the last 30 years, Dr. Lord has conducted numerous research studies in the United States, Canada, and across the world in highway design and safety. Since joining Texas A&M, he successfully completed several projects such as “NCHRP 17-58: Safety Prediction Models for Six-Lane and One-Way Urban and Suburban Arterials”, “NCHRP 17-29: Developing a Methodology for Predicting the Safety Performance of Rural Multilane Highways,” TxDOT’s “Analysis of Roadway Departure Crashes on Two-Lane Rural Roads in Texas,” as well as a CDC-funded project titled “Reducing Older Driver Injuries at Intersections using more Accommodating Design Practices.” He was the co-author of Chapters 11, 12 (forthcoming 2nd edition), 17 and 18 of the Highway Safety Manual.
